We had a
visit from Johnny, one of the first to ever attend our Children's program (pictured to the left in between us).
He learned about God at the Mission and gave his heart to the Lord as a child. He has lived a Christian life and has
been married to a wonderful woman for 35 years! He has 10 children and 33 grandchildren. He was thankful for the
Mission's positive impact on his life. He said, “I have a wonderful family, God has been good.”
Through the years we have seen many success stories; some that have come back to help others in the community
and to show their own kids what it means to serve others in the name of Christ. We do not know the full impact
of our ministry over the years. Heaven alone will reveal all that God has accomplished at the Helping Hand Rescue
Mission.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and
that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. - John 15:16
We are so grateful to God for allowing us these 45 years
of planting seed and bearing fruit. And, we are so thankful for all of the faithful supporters who have helped us serve
Him by serving our community. It’s exciting to serve the Lord and to see his work accomplished here. We pray each
day, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven." Only His love can make a lasting difference.
